Neeta Dayal, Office Coordinator
Neeta Dayal, LVN worked in the field of health care management since 1993. Neeta joined SAHARA in 2006 as a client advocate, being very passionate about giving back to community and empowering South Asians to re-establish their confidence in living to the fullest. She provides administrative support for SAHARA to ensure optimal operations of all programs and services offered by SAHARA. Neeta Dayal, Office Coordinator
Katy Alamshaw, Case Manager
Katy Alamshaw, MSW is working in the field of social work for the past 10 years. She volunteered since SAHARA's infancy. At present, continues to provide services to help support and maximize the social functioning and emotional adjustment of the South Asian Victims of Domestic Violence. Empowering them to become self-sufficient and independent as well as help them re-assimilate into main stream American society.
Aisha Shaikh, Resident Care Coordinator
Aisha Shaikh received her Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Immediately after graduating Aisha began to volunteer at SAHARA and continued for a year before she was hired as part of the SAHARA team. She is currently working as the Resident Care Coordinator of SAHARA's transitional living home.
Leela Jha, Assistant Care Coordinator
Leela Jha received her Master's in Psychology in Nepal. She has worked in the teaching profession, youth counseling and as a vice-president for the Nepalese Psychological Association. Currently she works at SAHARA as Assistant Care Coordinator in charge of community clients. She supports them in becoming self-sufficient and independent and helps them re-assimilate into main stream American society.
Varsha Gandhi, Accounting Assistant
Varsha Gandhi, graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from India. She then attended community college to take several training courses in accounting and computers. She is a Certified Quick Books Pro-Advisor since 2005. Her experience as a Quick Books consultant, trainer and bookkeeper for over six years has brought her to SAHARA as a Quick Books instructor and Accounting Assistant.
Parul Mehta, Psychotherapist
Parul Mehta Patel earned her Psy.D. Psychology and is a licensed practitioner. She currently provides therapy to survivors of domestic violence and other trauma at SAHARA and another non-profit organization. Additionally she has a private practice in Huntington Beach.
Tanisha Patel, Marketing Assistant
Tanisha Patel received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Immediately after she earned her Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from the University of California, Irvine and will have completed her Masters in Teaching this summer. Presently she works in SAHARA's Marketing Department spreading awareness of Domestic Violence and is becoming more involved with SAHARA's youth chapter, YES.
